How DOES PRAIRIE STATE COLLEGE Foundation DEFINE ALUM?
An alum is any individual who has completed at least one credit towards a degree/certificate-granting program at Prairie State College.
DOES THE BUSINESS HAVE TO BE OWNED BY A PRAIRIE STATE college ALUM TO QUALIFY?
Yes. This resource is intended to provide Prairie State College alumni the opportunity to support their fellow Pioneer Business Owners. Alumni is defined as any individual who has completed at least one credit towards a degree/certificate-granting program at Prairie State College.
Are businesses required to provide a discount for Prairie State College alumni?
No. This is simply a directory of PSC Alumni-Owned Businesses for the benefit of promoting your business to other PSC connections. No discounts or promotions are required - that will be left up to the business owner's discretion.
How will users know if business information is current?
Entries will be confirmed before posting and reviewed quarterly to ensure the list is current. If you are in the directory and know that your information needs to change please email [email protected] with new information.
Is Prairie State College providing financial support to businesses on this page?
No. This directory is simply a list of Alumni-Owned Businesses. Prairie State College is not providing financial assistance to these businesses.
HOW often is the business directory updated?
Within 48 hours of submission. Before a business is posted, it will be verified as a Prairie State College Alumni-Owned Business. In accordance with Prairie State College policy, we will verify that businesses in the directory are not in conflict with the College’s fundamental mission and values. The Prairie State College Foundation reserves the right to exclude any business from this directory.
How will I know if my business has been aPPROVED?
You will receive an email from Prairie State College Foundation. The email will confirm whether or not your business has been approved and added to the directory. If approved, we will provide you an exclusive Prairie State College Alumni-Owned Business logo for you to proudly display on your website, social media, letterhead, business card, storefront, etc.
